About KRC

Karuizawa Retreat Center is owned and operated by the Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM Japan), and exists to serve the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the missionary and church community in Japan. We are not a business, but rather a ministry offering a way to fulfill Jesus’ instruction to “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest a while.”

We have about 20 furnished cabins for families, with capacities that range from sleeping two up to six people. There are also two lodges that can handle groups of up to 12 people. Good for retreats, family reunions or other gatherings.

As a Christian ministry, we do not have “fees” or “rates” but ask that those who stay here share the cost of running and maintaining the facility. facility.

Please feel free to email us regarding the cost of using the facilities.

We invite you to come away and rest awhile, and spend some time with God, family and friends in the historic resort town of beautiful Karuizawa at the foot of Mt. Asama in beautiful Nagano Prefecture.

KRC is available for reservation to any Evangelical Christian family, church, or mission group (and their guests) desiring a mountain retreat or vacation. We look forward to being your hosts at Karuizawa Retreat Center!
